Cheese scones

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 7.8 oz flour
  • 3.5 oz butter, chilled, cut in to 6 mm pieces
  • 3.5 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • Butter, melted, for brushing

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 7.8 oz flour
  • 3.5 oz butter, chilled, cut in to 6 mm pieces
  • 3.5 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • Butter, melted, for brushing

RECIPE

1. SIFT the baking powder, salt, sugar, baking soda and flour together into a bowl.

2.  ADD the butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.

3.  ADD cheddar cheese and buttermilk and mix until well combined and forms a dough. The dough should look dry.

4.  SHAPE the dough into a 2.5 centimeter thick square.

5.  SELECT Preheat, adjust the temperature to 177°C, and press Start/Pause.

6.  CUT out rolls from the dough using a round shape.

7.  PLACE parchment paper in the bottom of the food basket of the air fryer.

8.  BRUSH the tops of the rolls with melted butter and place them on the parchment paper inside the food basket.

9.  BAKE the rolls at 177°C for 12 minutes.
